DESCRIPTION:The Swing Out is an iconic step and one of\, if not the most significant step in Lindy Hop. It is dynamic\, stretchy and feels magical when done right. It gets better and better the more you repeat it and can be done with so many rhythmic variations. We will be learning the Savoy style Swing out\, aka forward swing out in this workshop and will also learn some basic variations to diversify and keep the drills interesting.\nThis is NOT a beginner workshop. You need to be comfortable with 6ct triple step moves\, have basic knowledge of 8 ct and have been social dancing for 6 months minimum.\n\nPlease wear flat well padded shoes (dance shoes or sneakers)\, comfortable\, breathable clothes and bring water.\n\n\n3:30-4:20 Swing Out basics\n4:20-4:30 water break\n4:30-4:50  Lindy Circle\n4:50-5:30 Swing Out Variations\n\n\nAbout Nissreen\nNissreen Almazouni has been dancing for over 20 years and teaching for the past ten in New Jersey and the Tri-State area. She learned the Lindy Hop in New York City from iconic instructors who studied with Frankie Manning\, and had the the pleasure and honor to take lessons with him as well. She has performed professionally with many Lindy Hop groups in NYC (such as the Lindy Hop All-stars and the Big Apple Lindy Hoppers) and continues to perform in summer Jazz festivals\, private gigs and her own performance classes.  She is passionate about teaching and helping students build a solid technique foundation. She also aims to foster a unique sense of musicality for the dance in all her students.  All while having fun. She currently teaches group lessons at Swing Remix in NYC as well as ongoing lessons in NJ.

SUMMARY:Let's Swing Dance to Danny Tobias Swing Band!
DESCRIPTION:It is $25 admission which includes live music\, dance lesson and snacks! \nClass on Beginner Swing by Joe Palmer !!! from 7:00 to 8:00.PM. Please be on time so all can get the most out of the class.\nMusic ♫ starts @ 8:00PM with Danny Tobias 5-players Swing band.! \nBand breaks DJ’d by Joe Palmer. Live music ends at 11:00 PM\, but DJ music will keep us going until 11:30PM. ! ☺ Do make music requests and DJ will make a best effort to include it in the playlist ! \nWe will provide fruit\, some packaged nuts\, chocolates and other snacks. \nThis takes place at the Madison Community House\, 25 Cook Avenue\, Madison\, NJ. 07940. Parking on the street\, in the parking lot at the side entrance and at the adjacent parking lot of the office building\, even though it says ‘Permit Parking Only’.
